Linking back and related entries

For patron accounts, I've added one new feature: linkbacks. Any time a Tabulas user posts an entry that links to a particular entry of yours, you'll see it appear in the comment view of a page. This will help you discover who's talking about your entries on Tabulas, and it is a way to encourage you to link to other's posts as well!

I've also started processing Tabulas entries for the "Related" entries feature - for those of you who don't know, this is a magical feature which will try to find "related" entries that you've written. Sometimes it's accurate, sometimes it's not. But it's fun to see what entries will show up

Related entries are processed nightly, so you may have to wait a bit to get related entries. All patron account should have had their entries processed, though.

Hit logging

One of the bigger complaints I've gotten about the control panel redesign is the lack of accurate hit logging. To that end, I've added back one of the more popular features for patron accounts: viewing your recent visitor traffic logs.

Because of server limitations, you can only view your last 72 hours worth of data, but the data it provides should give you a better idea of where your traffic is coming from.

Check it out in your control panel.

Rewind and Rekindle

My room's a mess. Think having a shirt or two hanging on my dresser chair, mirror on top of the television, opened cabinets, a pack of Chips Ahoy on my laptop bag, box of Kleenex in a Kangaroo case beside it, and a pack of clothes good for 5 days positioned at the edge of my bed. RIOT. My mom will kill me later, haha!

We'll be on board the 8:30am flight tomorrow bound for Bacolod, and I'm very much giddy about it. We've been flying there every year ever since I could walk. It has been a tradition for our family to go home to mom's province to celebrate at least one holiday (either Christmas or New Year), and honestly, it's getting different every year. Kung dati kase mas exciting, tipong pang probinsiya talaga. Every before Christmas, all kids would line up in the sala, each having a box and a certain goodie to put inside the plastic bag that will be passed around. Those goods would then be distributed to Mama Pat's farmers in Masaling. Native na native. Probinsiyang probinsiya! E ngayon, we'll go to bars and flood ourselves with good 'ol alcohol and party till the wee hours. Pero steady lang naman. Good, clean fun for us, kids.

I miss the old feel, not because I'm sentimental (pero sige pwede na rin yun), but I just feel more the presence of Holidays back then. Everything's being too commercialized already that the younger generation no longer knows the essence of having to ride carabaos, chasing pigs (eto madugo talaga), walking on fields, riding their lola's sugar cane trucks and sneaking one cane etcetera. I miss everythiiiiiing. Pero, still good vibes to cousin bonding (over alcohol). Hahahaha!

In less than 24 hours, I'll be back in Bacolod, and who knows what plans my cousins have set already.

Here's a picture of my Chua girls who I will be seeing tomorrow!!

Nice peeektyur, but it would've been nicer if Yana and I were there. Walang kokontra.

Hidlaw na ko sa inyo bala! Ilyana lang ang waay sa picture. Gwapa tanan a! Good job gid. Hahaha!

(Chelle,Sette,Mili,Manang Lynette)

Merry Christmas MICO FERNANDEZ. Hahahahahahahaha!!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, everyone! Keep safe. Eat safe (?)

New gallery management in control panel

Hey everybody,

I've put the finishing touches on an update to the gallery in your control panel - I always felt the new gallery was more confusing than the old one.

This new one should be a lot simpler to use - and it will allow you to manage your images more efficiently (without having to edit each image individually!)

Please let me know if there are any problems.

I hope all of you are having a fantastic holidays.

- Roy

[review] The Blog that stood still

It's been a while since my last review of a movie. After all, i haven't watched any movie [in cinemas] for quite some time. I have to admit, i've been downloading like hell since i got my dsl.

---

Since there was this Anti-Chacha rally last night, Marvs and I decided to watch the 1951 remake THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL.

Being true to its title, we sat still throughtt the entirety of the movie trying to understand its message.

Probably it's a 103-minute environmental movie of convincing that mankind is the reason for all the dangers and calamities we experience as we go through our lives. Or it could be Noah's Ark [or Blob for that matter] in super 3D (thanks to WETA Digital--visual effects company who made LOTR and KINGKONG look fantastic) or it could be a 103 minute advertisement because of the multitude of products placements scattered throught the movie.

Keanu Reeves was fit for his role. Stern, emotionless, wooden...and boring. I'm having a hard time looking for a different angle between his character in MATRIX, CONSTANTINE and A SCANNER DARKLY.

But my review could be unreliable because a huge man was sitting infront of me, so i might not have seen the movie quite properly. (hahahaha)

Bottomline, it's an eyecandy [nothing more, nothing less] because i think it failed to connect with me because of constantly waiting for a good story, i ended up missing the characters all in all. Think WAR OF THE WORLDS.

2/5 ( it should have been 2.5, but because of the huge person, nah.)

BENTE! BENTE!

We brought home the grand prize, baybeh! Twenty thousand!

...and with that, we partied the night away at Pier One chanting "Bente! Bente!". I still just can't believe  that we nailed them off. The stage, the audience -- all just seemed invisible. Hyped, is the perfect word, and I totally loved it! My group's the greateeeeeest, and the greatness was captured by my very professional and chick-magnet photographer, Kuya Carlof (and Kuya Aids). Thank youuuuuu Panalo talaga kagabi. WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!

The mosh pit is a trademark of the company already, and everyone just loved watching the directors fly and land on a sea of hands. Inteeeeeense <3

...my night, or should I say, day, ended with the most interesting revelation. We'll be "steady" from now on.

Next stop, DAMPA!!

PG 13

Twilight (Kanto Version)

Kasi pare, ganito daw yun.

Pagkarating niya dun, sabi niya, "Tangina erpat, bakit maulan dito?"

Sabi niya, "Salamat, 'tay."

Pagkarating niyang school tsong, may nakita siyang lalaking mukhang bangkay pero pogi. Sakto.

TANGINA MO."

So anyways pare, na-in love si Babaeng Maputla at Emo kay Poging Bangkay. So ayun. Angshweet-shweet nila. Parang:

"Eow poh... ahihihihi"

"Bebe mwahugz,..... ^^, ilabshooo"

Intense 'no? Kaya pala nahu-hook lahat ng tao.

Wooo, panalo talaga to. !!@#$%^ patay ka na. -- Oo nga naman!!
